Here is a shocker, another phenomenal record coming out of Sweden. The place sometimes seems like the breeding ground for the genre with all of the amazing music we get from them and their seemingly endless supply of melodic rock bands.

This sophmore release from Martina Edoff sees her taking her music in a more rock oriented direction then the more pop rock feel of her 2014 debut and right back to her melodic rock roots.

As a founding member of The Poodles Edoff is certainly no stranger to the genre and she shows not only the set of pipes she has yet again, but her ability to write some fantastic and rocking songs as well.

The songs, co-written with Jona Tee (H.E.A.T.) giving even further proof of them kicking ass, are incredibly catchy and well written and production, handled by Tobias Lindell (Hardcore SuperstarEurope), is outstanding as everything is mixed well and sounds wonderful.

Starting things off is the title track. A great rock song which is, in Edoff’s own words, “…a wake up call for those who only seek satisfaction in the material world. The true wealthiness begins from the inside of ourselves“. A full fledged rocker that gets things moving for the record and it doesn’t let up until the end.

‘World Has Gone Mad’ (click on the link near the top of the page to see the music video) is a thundering rocker with a great chorus to it and her single from the album.

The fourth track, ‘Spirit Of Light’, is a wonderful mid-tempo ballad that is an excellent showcase for the vocals this lady has.

‘Caught In The Middle’ is my favorite track from the album. A great song with a catchy chorus and a powerhouse vocal from Martina.

These are just a few of the goodies that await you with this record. Eleven tracks in all of some excellent melodic rock with the sensational vocals of Edoff at the forefront. Her first record was good but this release is leaps and bounds better than her debut and there is nothing but good on this one. She delivers a near perfect album with this second offering and I can’t wait to hear what she has in store for us next go around. Her voice is incredible, her writing is superb and the album as a whole is phenomenal. Don’t miss out on this one.

This is an outstanding record with nary a bad track and I highly recommend it for fans of female fronted melodic rock in a heavier vein of bands like Dante Fox. Do yourself a huge favor and pick this one up, you will not be disappointed.
